Water Water everywhere not enough to drink. You would associate this phrase with seeing all the water in the Earth’s ocean and not being able to drink any.
Just imaging if there was a reservoir of water just a mere 12 billion light years away that is said to hold a conservative estimate of 140 trillion times more water that all the Earth’s oceans combined, that’s a hell of a lot of water. T
he water is not in liquid form but is does manifest itself a mammoth expanse of water vapor.
Research astronomers have detected a vast amount of water when conducting studies on a distant quasar.

Quasar with the long name of APM 08279 5255. APM 08279 5255 is a quasar located in the constellation Lynx. Quasars are very strange beasts indeed there are bright and violent galactic nuclei powered by a super massive black hole at their center.
At the center of the quasar is yet another violent creature a dark super massive black hole that’s 20 billion times more massive than our Sun.
This particular environment is well suited in producing massive amounts of water vapor spreading out in all directions spanning hundreds of light years.
The very light we now see from this quasar took 12 billion years to reach us when the universe was in it’s infancy then only 1.6 billion years old.
This discovery makes us re think the origin and the existence of water
where did it came from. We now have more clues that the very water we now drink come from the vast reaches of the universe.
