Venus Mars and Saturn Evening Viewing

The month of August is ideal for early evening sky watching see if you can spot Mars and Saturn. during the twilight hour, you can see the two interior planets appearing just about 3 degrees apart, above the western horizon, Mars is to the right of Saturn. Look just after sunset to find the brighter of the two, Venus.
Look closer to the horizon and just a bit to the north (right, as you look west) to find Mercury. Planet Mercury can be illusive at this time because its orbit is closer to the Sun.
You can use Venus this should help to find the smallest planet during the next week or so.
Venus is bright enough to be seen during the daylight hours, it can be tricky to find.
The best time to find Venus during the day is late afternoon when the Sun is low in the sky.
Don’t look directly at the Sun.
Mercury will look like a small star low towards the horizon.
