Unidentified Summer Lights..... Continued

Unidentified Summer Lights

Continued …….

I have carried out a bit of scientific research since 1964 and arrived at a few conclusions on what these mysterious objects may have been.

High altitude balloon experiments were carried out during the nineteen fifties and nineteen sixties for the purpose of detecting cosmic rays entering our atmosphere.

I did some research however and I did discover that the C.S.I..R.O made numerous experiments using high altitude balloons.

There have been a number of military balloon experiments conducted during this time although there’s little documentation to support this.

I understand that the balloons were constructed of neoprene plastic and was filled with 30 million cubic feet of helium gas. Once filled would stand around 80 meters in height..

The balloon consisted of lightweight neoprene plastic construction with aluminum foil strands attached to the bottom of the balloon so it could be tracked by radar.

These balloons rose quite high in into the upper atmosphere in the order of 38 to 65km high and stay aloft for hours if not days. It was not uncommon to find balloons launched in America would encounter the jets dream and be found in other parts of the world including Australia.

Given the height of these balloons and the immense size it is possible that sun light high above the earth would reflect off the balloon surface giving it the appearance of a fast moving glowing object. Although the object was quite high in the atmosphere it would appear like a moving bright star.

This is the only explanation I have. Here are could be many other possibilities including high altitude secret military planes, ice crystals or other atmospheric conditions at the time.

This is the recollection of events that occurred around 1964 in the height of the Cold War.

The last paragraph should read:

"This is my recollection of events that occurred around 1964 in the height of the Cold War. "

Very interesting. I didn't realize that weather balloons launched in America could be carried over to Oz and down/land here!
Makes me a little worried that some agencies there might have liked to try some experiments on us using this phenomena. No too far out of the question, since it has been revealed they have done as such to their own people!

By the way, its the little light balls that zig and zag, then hover, then return to the original spot, then zoom away in great speed that are even more curious, which I dare say would not be the characteristic of a weather ballon, even in a gale!

cheers
