Unexplained Moon Anomalies

There have been many Lunar anomalies reported by observers over the centuries.
Some give detailed accounts of what they saw at the time. I must admit being a casual observer of the Moon for the past half century and have seen only one “anomaly”.
The late summer of 1959 I was looking at the Moon with a small telescope and an noticed what appeared to be tiny lights appearing from the Moon’s Southern limb. What saw may have been an optical illusion, Transient Lunar Phenomena, (TLPs) or perhaps an impact ejecting the dust from the Moon’s surface.
You can read my blog on TLPs whereby people have reported seeing lights on the surface of the Moon.

The Lunar surface has high concentrates of Silica which also offers the Moon great reflective properties.
There is bright, conspicuous smudge called Reiner Gamma near the Moon’s equatorial limb.
This perhaps the best-known example of a group of lunar swirls that have mystified planetary geologists for years. What actually causes the swirls remains unanswered.
CURRENT MOON
Studies form NASA Lunar Prospector and other have found the region known as Reiner Gamma to have high reading of magnetism. It's highly possible that an event that occurred millions of years ago modified the magnetic properties of the surface materials.
The solar wind has perpaps played a part in changing the reflective properties (the surface look) especially in this particular area a process attributed to space weathering.
Surface anomalies can occur at any time. A particular document incidence was in 1968 when television images relayed to Earth by the lunar lander Surveyor 7 shows a line of light along its western horizon after sunset.
The result of fine dust particles suspended above the surface was caused by the Lander’s decent engines. Surveyors 5 and 6 witnessed a similar phenomenon.
