Total Solar eclipse 2012

November 14 2012 a total eclipse was seen over northern Queensland Australia early this morning.
The rest of mainland Australia had a partial eclipse. Unfortunately I was unable to attend the total eclipse in Cairns however my location just south of Brisbane the Moon provided a great view at about 7 AM Queensland time.
The path of totality is very narrow Cairns happened to be in the right location. Totality lasted for 4 minutes. The coastal clouds parted just in time to see the Moon cover the Sun.
The partial eclipse provided a spectacular view with clear skies at my location in south Brisbane.
The sky did darken slightly and the bird life must have thought it was time for bed.
The next total eclipse will be in the U.S in 2015 there will be another total eclipse in Australia in 2028.
