The truth about UFOs.

Is there enough evidence to substantiate the existence of UFOs?. For many decades stories of unidentified flying objects described by people who claim to have seen strange lights in the night sky. There are countless stories of people who claim to being abducted by strange alien beings from another world. Is there any evidence to support these claims?.

Are these people just victims of ” B” rated SCI FI movies?. Are these programs really influencing people’s perception about UFOs?.

While the mass media, television and popular science fiction movies has had some influence in shaping people’s perceptions about flying saucers and UFOs.
Most of us have seen the X files close encounters of the third kind are these programs really influencing people’s perception?, I think perhaps not.
Although these programs do provide a level of entertainment and perhaps make us think is there anything out here in the great beyond.

Despite the countless submissions made by people who claim to have see a UFO no real evidence has been produced, no actual photograph of a landing space craft has come forth. to date. Most video images showing alleged UFO activity is of such poor quality as to totally useless. Most video cameras do not have the capacity to provide high resolution images and tend to distort the images they do produce.

It is interesting to note that the frequency of UFO reports started to rise sharply during the closing stages of the Second World War and has continued to do so over the years.

Most UFO sightings can be attributed to natural phenomenon such as temperature inversions, meteorites, planets, high altitude weather balloons military aircraft in some cases even birds have been mistaken for UFOs.
Although we can call the media to task in perhaps having some influence in people’s perceptions about UFOs there are by no means the only protagonist when you take into account the Cold War effect and the spate of misinformation during the late fifties and early sixties.
The misinformation sponsored by governments. The Americans and the Russians had put in place in the minds of the people feeding them misinformation about UFO activity in order to disguise real purpose they had in mind that was to conceal secret military aircraft activity spotted by people who had no idea of what they saw, it was a perfect cover a process that is still continuing to this day.
I have conducted research on Mysterious objects for the last three decades I’ve yet to find a real alien. Most of the unidentified flying objects I have seen over the years were caused by natural phenomenon.

Carl

I fear that you and I may be in a minority.

The bottom line in most peoples minds seems to in the poster that hangs on a few walls that says: "I want to believe."

People often pick the evidence that suits their argument and rejects all other evidence.

Having seen some very strange things in the night sky, CarlCan, I can't be completely sure one way or the other. However, most of the really strange things I saw were in central Nevada, on what they call the "UFO Highway", and the area is literally surrounded by military bases, including the Fallon Top Gun School, Hawthorne, and of course the infamous "Area 51" (among others).

Who knows - I think the majority of people need to believe (in something) or someone. It's human nature to want concrete answers for our existence - it's the way we're hotwired.

Are we alone?

Boy - that's a tough one . . . it's a bit like a dolphin trying get its head around physics - intelligent creature - but it's never going to happen is it?

Guess some things are just beyond our comprehension - be they the physical or the spiritual - most of us (as I say) are simply seeking something.

Carl, you can say I'm a lunatic, but I'm 120% sure that beside of the Earth, there are still many living forms in this outer space!

Times will be the witness, whether we're right or wrong about it...

I’m sure there is life out there but is it life as we know it?.

Yes we humans need to believe in something and I guess it’s human nature to do so. We need to feel we’re not alone in the universe, we are indeed unique on this earth we call home. We have an abundance of life in all manner of species.

As far as we know there is no civilization comparable to earth in our solar system. Perhaps there other civilizations that have living creatures and perhaps another Similar civilization like our own exists somewhere in our galaxy yet to be found. The search continues.

Somehow I missed this when you posted. I certainly want to believe but, I have to side with you. Despite all you hear about "possibilities" there's usually an explanation and, year later, some of the "unexplained" turn out to be secret military tests.
