The Crab Nebula Unmasked
May 15th 2009 07:50
The Crab Nebula is the remnant of a supernova explosion that was witnessed on Earth in 1054 AD. It is 6000 light years from Earth.
This nebular is impressive the crab nebular is located in the constellation of Taurus the bull and can be seen by both hemispheres.
I have included a number images taken by Chandra X-ray observatory this x-ray image clearly shows a neutron star a rapidly spinning that emits pulses of radiation 30 times a second. This is the remnant of the exploded star that shrunk to the size of our moon.
The ancients recorded the signs of the Zodiac which consists of 12 constellations recorded by Babylonian a astronomers through which our Sun, moon, and planets appeared to travel during the course of a year.
These constellations are considered to be among the oldest star patterns recognized by early human civilizations. These star patterns are recorded by many cultures including the Greeks the Celts ancient Egyptian and Arab nations even the North and South American Indians the Australian aborigines have carved elaborate patterns in rock and caves paintings.
