Surviving A Black Hole

Imagine for a moment that you are travelling in a spaceship around the speed of light.
During your travel you encounter an event Horizon, Oh Dear %##@! what will I do?.
Apply the brakes, I don't think so.
In the unlikely event that a future space traveler might find an encounter with a black hole challenge. Would the person be destroyed along with the ship?.
Could they survive all –be –it for a short period?.
At one time black holes were thought to be inescapable upon entering a black hole there would be no chance of escape a bit like falling in a puddle of quicksand. (what is or isn't in a black hole is another story)
A group of physicists have come up with some interesting insights. If you were unfortunate enough to enter a black hole the chance of your survival are very dim.
Assuming that you fell into a black hole would you survive would to some degree of could death be instantaneous?.
Fortunately, a group of physicists Geraint F. Lewis and Juliana Kwan produced a paper that may maximise your survival rate, from a few seconds to perhaps hours.
What would be like during these moments of terror. Once you enter a black hole and crossed the event Horizon your particles are stripped this could take seconds perhaps minutes.
Once you're are in a black hole time seems to have little relevance.
One scenario is that your body is stretched like an elongated rubber band your feet and head are separated by immense distance.
you could see your body as an elongated piece of stretched rubber. To say this would be weird would be an understatement.
Your eventual demise is inevitable but perhaps there is some sort of sweet spot where my you could prolong your panic.
