Storm Of the Titans

December 31st 2010 07:21
Category: No Category

Saturn and Jupiter have new storms raging on the surface. The storms produced on these planet would engulf our Earth many time over.

Being the two biggest planets in the Solar System they are putting on quite a show. Currently both planets are perfectly positioned giving us a great vantage point to see what’s going on. We here on Earth are able to see the severe storms on both planets.

On Jupiter, the South Equatorial Belt has formed a large storm the storm is large enough to almost completely encircle the planet.
A new white storm has burst forth on Saturn. Large storms on these giant planets are normal.

If you have access to a telescope now would be a great time to both Jupiter and Saturn at there best. Saturn is now well up in the southeastern sky before dawn.

HAPPY NEW YEAR

And we think storms on Earth get nasty! Imagine one that covers most of the planet!
