Star Gazing Update

January 21st 2008 23:53
Category: No Category
A simulation of what the sky will look like

For avid moon watchers tonight 22 January will be a full Moon visible rising from the east around 8:30pm EDST. Also showing is Mars and Saturn.

You will be able to spot Mars and Saturn easily with the naked eye. Saturn will be to the left of the Moon. Saturn will appear to look like a reasonably bright small "star'.

If you would like to look for Mars face towards the north of the sky you will be able to see a "reddish" looking "star" the constellation of Orion will be slightly above Mars. Don’t forget the mozzie repellent.

I have included this image as a guide to finding Mars
