Southern Hemisphere July Sky Map

June was a great month for star gazing especially in the Southern Hemisphere.
We had a partial Lunar eclipse. Here is “Sunny “Queensland it was cloudy and the view from my Brisbane location was not ideal, well it is our winter season.
This month July is a great time to see Saturn Mars Mercury and Venus appear low in the Western horizon , just after sunset. Winter season down under is a good time to have a look at the night sky.
For early risers the thin crescent Moon and Jupiter can be seen , look to the North West just before sunrise around 5:30 AM.
The cooler conditions make the skies a little clearer and less turbulent.
Although it may get a little chilly it’s better than getting bitten by bugs in the summer.
I have included two star maps one for each hemisphere.
Clear skies everyone

The star charts are really interesting and the sky graphics, too.
