A partial eclipse of the Sun, the best seats in the house happen to be in Sweden. The first solar one of many events to take place this year 2011.

Most of Europe Africa and Asia got to see it except for Australia and America.

Sweden will get its next eclipse of the Sun. The next total eclipse of the Sun in Sweden will be in 100 years time 2126.

Well you won’t need to wait another 100 years to see the next eclipse. June 15 2011 is the date for the next total eclipse of the Sun.

This time observers in Africa, southern Asia, and Australia will have a chance to see an exciting solar event.

Total eclipses occur every year but in different parts of the globe. The last eclipse I as fortunate to see was in Australia in 1974.

This year 2011 will be a great year for eclipses there are 6 solar events to go. One partial Solar, eclipse one total eclipse of the Sun and a number of Lunar eclipses.

2011 Future Solar events

• A partial solar eclipse on January 4.
• A partial solar eclipse on June 1.
• A Total Solar eclipse on June 15
• A partial solar eclipse on July 1.
• A partial solar eclipse on November 25.
• A total lunar eclipse on December 10.

Will any of the eclipses be visible from the central US? I got to see a partial eclipse once on the California coast, many years ago. It would be great to see another one!

Hi S.L.

Your will have a partial eclipse in the central US. on June the 1 2011.

The best views are further North towards the Arctic.
You will however have what’s called a sub polar view, meaning that you will see a partial darkening of the Sun. I have put a link in to give you some further information.

Thank you, CarlCan! I'll be watching for the darkening, even if I miss the best part. Maybe that day will be clear and offer a better "view".
