Not all stars were created Equal

A remarkable recent rare find in our neighboring galaxy the Large Magellanic Cloud a double star OGLE-LMC-CEP0227 containing a Cepheid star revolving around the other star.

Our Sun is destined to become a white dwarf. In time when all the hydrogen fuel is used up our Sun will undergo a series of changes.

The Sun will expand in size vaporizing Mercury, Venus will fair no better, our earth will be scorched the oceans will have vanished.

It’s all part of the cosmological process, thankfully I won’t be around to see it assuming that the human race is still around in another 5 billion years.

Our Sun will undergo the process that countless other star have gone before.
Some stars are very large some as large as 100 times our Sun’s mass.

Some stars will become supernova. Some stars will shrink and become black holes, others will dim just like our Sun.

When we take a look at the night sky we can see countless stars that seem to twinkle.

This is coursed in part by the earth’s atmosphere, the light from the star or planed gets diffracted by the air.

Some stars are classed as variable Stars. Variable stars. Light emitted by these stars can vary in brightness, It’s apparent brightness as seen from Earth changes over time. Some take a few hours to vary their brightness other can take week or even years.

Another type of star is referred to as Cepheid variables, these stars belong to a group that can brighten up and then dim at regular intervals, these stars can be seen from earth with a medium telescope. Some variable stars can be seen with the naked eye, this can be a great challenge for especially for beginners.

It's easy to forget that every star we see might be like our sun, surrounded by planets, CarlCan. It's even easier to forget that they have lifespans. Thanks for the reminder.
