Even if you are a casual observer of the night sky perhaps you may have wondered if only I could take a picture of what I have seen. During the film
Bulky cameras and expensive film stock not to mention you had to have a knowledge of photographic principals just to get some kind of image was a challenge.
Now days all you need is an off-the-shelf digital SLR camera (or DSLR’s) will do the job, it does not have to be an expensive camera.
Just about any ordinary digital camera will do provided it has a manual over ride setting.
You can be a minimalist and try different combinations you too can be the master of your images.
Your first few images won’t be gems but don’t be too disappointed keep trying eventually your images will improve.
There are many great books and CD’s on astrophotography available most have easy to understand steps on how to begin your night sky adventure.
