I realise that this topic is not what I usually write about. But I just had to express it.
Mans’ best friend becomes dog’s worst enemy
It used to be said that man’s best friend is a dog or at least it used to be.
Not according to some sick twisted people it seems to be the new fashion in violence and blood sports in the America. Where humanity goes out the window and is replaced by greed and money making.
I was disgusted to see an American A.B.C network news report stating that a high profile sports celebrity has been arrested for alleged cruelty to animals. The news report also stated that dog fighting was fast becoming a popular event and very profitable.
This sick practice is report ably a world wide. This so called “sport” claims that the winning dog can be worth in excess of $30.000.
I found the news report very disturbing after seeing footage of wounded dogs laying in the arena while others died of blood loss and shock.
What is society becoming when they resort to such cruelty towards defenseless animals? It seems like a day at the forum , in days of the coliseum just like old Roman times. It seems to me that some elements of society humanity have taken a dark step backwards.
