Finding your way around the night sky can be a little confusing at times especially when you first starting out. There are millions of stars in our galaxy the Milky Way which ones do you choose?
Perhaps one of the best ways to start is to find an easily recognisable constellation the best example for beginners is the consolation of Orion and the Hunter.
This consolation is particularly easy to spot because of its close proximity of stars. I have put together a video perhaps this will explain the best way to find Orion, for the northern and southern hemispheres happy hunting.
March is the best time to catch the Orion constellation before is starts to set lower in the night sky.
For viewers in the northern hemisphere look towards the South West around 9 pm local time.
viewers in the Southern hemisphere look towards the North East around 9 pm local eastern Australian standard time.

Floods and lots of welcomed rain.
It has been cloudy for around 10 days.
We are moving in autum view will improve down under.
Let me know if you managed to see Orion.
