July is a great time to see Saturn Mars Mercury and Venus appear low in the Western horizon , just after sunset. Winter season down under is a great time to have a look at the night sky.
For early risers, look to the North West just before sunrise around 6:15 AM.
The cooler conditions make the skies a little clearer and less turbulent.
Brighter stars like Arcturus shines high in the west, far to the upper left of bright Venus. Northern Hemisphere viewers watch the Big Dipper glimmer into view equally high in the northwest, far to Venus's upper right.
